Eating matar paneer is all time favourite of all. But do you know the authentic recipe of matar paneer?

So to make this delicious recipe we have to take the given ingredients:-

Ingredients for matar paneer :-

  • Paneer (250gm)
  • Matar (1/2 cup)
  • Oil / Ghee (2 tb spoon)
  • Butter (optional)
  • Garlic cloves (5-6)
  • Ginger (half inch)
  • Onion (1)
  • Tomato (2)
  • Crushed Coconut (half cup)
  • Red chilli powder
  • Coriander Powder
  • Kasuri methi
  • Paneer Masala
  • Salt

Process:-

  • Firstly, make paste of onion mixed with garlic and ginger.
  • Then make tomato paste.
  • Grind crushed coconut with some water in it, so that it become some milky form.

Let’s cook:-

Take a pan, add Oil/Ghee in it. Let it get warm. Make Paneer slices and start frying the paneer in oil. After done frying, keep fried paneer aside. Then add onion paste in heated oil. Stir it well. After it getting slightly brown add all spices in it ( red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt etc:-). Then add tomato paste in it and close the pan with lid and let it cook for 5 min .

Now, add some kasuri methi in it, then add coconut milky paste . Let it get cooked for 3 min.

Then add matar and close lid for 2 min. Open the lid, stir the mixture well, then add fried paneer .

Cook it for 5 min, add some water if needed. Add half spoon of paneer masala, stir it well.

And last add slice of butter to get good buttery flavour.

Now add coriander leaves.

Your Matar paneer curry is ready to serve with your tempting naan or tandoori or parathas. Enjoy your meal.
